Geraldine Wilcox – Chief Executive

Geraldine is responsible to the Board of Management to deliver on the promises to tenants, following stock transfer, to ensure that Derwentside Homes meets the needs of tenants throughout its area of operation; for effective leadership and performance of Derwentside Homes and its development , holding executive responsibility for all its day to day operations; for corporate governance and ensuring that the Board are developed and empowered to guide and control the affairs of the organisation. Each of the Directors support Geraldine in delivering on the promises made in the offer document to tenants.
Keith Tallintire – Director of Finance and Corporate Services

Keith leads on the development and delivery of high quality finance and corporate services and strategy that enable Derwentside Homes to meet its business objectives as well as the needs of all internal users and other stakeholders; to lead in the development, evaluation and review of the company’s business and associated plans, with emphasis on the management of risk; to ensure an effective ICT infrastructure and to manage the human resources and organisational development team.
Steve Melvin – Director of Development and Property Services

Steve leads on the development and delivery of high quality maintenance (responsive and planned), investment, procurement and stock survey programmes. Operates the direct labour organisation on a financially viable and competitive basis. Devises and delivers a sound procurement strategy, taking advantage of opportunities for partnering, which enable Derwentside Homes to provide high quality services at a fair price. Maintains stock condition databases to the highest technical standards in order to deliver improvements in line with tenants’ expectations.
Samantha Gibson – Director of Housing Services

Tony’s team is tasked with supporting the Chief Executive and Directors and leading on many organisation-wide initiatives in the delivery of promises to tenants; the development of new and improved services; effective communications, excellence in customer service and a focus on continuous improvement; robust systems of business planning and performance management; the development and maintenance of sound working relationships with the Council and other key stakeholders; effective governance.
