Derwentside Homes is committed to providing affordable, attractive homes in strong, safe communities where everyone is valued. We will do this by maintaining and investing in our existing homes and providing new homes efficiently. We will create places where people want to live, at a cost which both they and the business can afford.

Derwentside Homes is investing over £117 million on modernising homes across Derwentside. As part of our commitment to meet and exceed the Government’s Decent Homes standard we plan to replace fixtures, fittings and elements in and around your home based on their age and condition.

Following the decision to transfer to Derwentside Homes, the increased investment has allowed us to develop a programme of works for the four years from April 2007 through to March 2011. As with the works scheduled for December to April, these programmes have been developed using the information collected from our stock condition survey.

These works include:

• Roofing Programme
• Wall Tie Programme
• Window & Door Renewal Programme
• Kitchen & Bathroom Programme
• Central Heating and Rewire Programme
• A Combined Kitchen & Bathroom and Central Heating and Rewire Programme
