Warm Home Discount Scheme
The Warm Home Discount Scheme offers a £120 rebate to help low income and vulnerable households with their electricity bills in winter 2011/12. The scheme is offered to customers of the following energy suppliers who are participating in the scheme:

If you’re a customer of one of these companies, and are in receipt of the Guaranteed Credit element of Pension Credit, you automatically qualify for the rebate and should be contacted directly by your energy provider. Other customers eligible for the rebate may include those on a low income with a disability or long-term illness, or those with children - each supplier has different criteria to decide who qualifies.

All claims for this winter must be made before 28th March 2012 so call today.
Five Lamps Energy Debt Advice Team also have funding from the British Gas Energy Trust to support clients with form-filling and packaging applications for grants to clear outstanding gas and electric bills. They can give advice on tariffs, switching supplier, Warm Home Discount Scheme mentioned above, Priority Services Register, Winter Fuel payments etc. Over a third of people entitled to Winter Fuel Payments are not registered because they have not applied for Pension Credit.
