How to place a bid online
Once you are registered on the DKO scheme you can place bids on the property you are interested in by one of the following methods:
- Online
- By telephoning 0845 2701603
- By texting 07781484604
- In person in one of the Customer Service Outlets
- Automated bidding – for further information please contact the relevant partner organistion
This is a guide as to how you go about bidding online.
Please Note: Bidding Cycles run from 00:00am Thursday-11:59pm Tuesday. The cycle is then closed on the Wednesday for processing any bids made.
- Go to www.durhamkeyoptions.co.uk
- Click on Login/My Account
- Enter housing register number (for example 273059)
Enter date of birth in full (for example 22/01/1999)
- Click ‘spyglass’ to search for properties
- To search for property enter the property reference if you know it, if not select DERWENTSIDE AREA in Region and if you know the Lettings Area you want select this.
- You can then select the number of bedrooms, type of house you wish to bid for and any adaptations you need in the property & click Search
- This will show the properties you are eligible to bid on. If you want to place a bid click on Apply Now.
- Check the details are correct then click Continue
- Then check over the details of the property then click I Wish to be considered for this property
- It will then show that the bid has been registered
You can bid on as many properties as you want, if you are successful for a property you will be contacted the following week.
