Facilities for children
There is an active project for children in Derwentside called the SPICE PROJECT. SPICE is run by Derwentside District Council and funded in partnership with the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund. The aim of the project is to encourage young people to play an active role in citizenship by becoming involved in community issues, local democracy and the use of ICT.
