Derwentside Homes 2011 Annual Tenants Conference was held on Wednesday the 7th December at the Lamplight Arts Centre in Stanley. The conference had a Christmas Market Theme with stalls from Thorntons, Buttons Boutique, Lanchester Wines, Cancer Research and Just For Women.

We had guest speaker Monica Burns from the National Housing Federation giving a talk on the Welfare Reform and changes to the benefit system. This was followed by a presentation from our Chief Executive, Geraldine Wilcox, on the successes of Derwentside Homes over the past five years following the companies fifth birthday on the 4th of December.

Dipton Primary school sang carols during the conference, there was a tombola with festive prizes and those who attended enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine.
