Do you have Pride in your area?
Durham County Council has committed a long term initiative called 'Pride in County Durham' and would like you to join them.
They are looking for a variety of photographs from all age groups, for a competition which will choose a winner at a high profile launch in March; their guest of honour is Matt Baker from Countryfile who will judge the overall winner.
They are looking for a photograph which depicts what you are proud of in County Durham; this could be anything from natural landscape to an important monument or your street or local shopping centre.
If you wish to enter you should forward your photographs to the Pride Team at:- Street Scene North, Neighbourhood Services, Durham County Council, Morrison Busty Depot, Annfield Plain, Stanley, DH9 7RX or e-mail your photographs to Helen Douglas at Helen.douglas@durham.gov.uk. For further details contact Helen on 07795826265.
Closing date for entries Friday 26th February 2010.
