Parking problems cause many conflicts and disputes between neighbours. The law allows everyone to park on a highway as long as the vehicle is taxed and the Highway Code is followed.
This means that no one has an ‘automatic right’ to park directly outside their own home. The most effective way of avoiding parking disputes with neighbours is to show consideration and regard to other residents when parking your vehicle. Most people would like to park their vehicle directly outside their own house, whether for security purposes or merely for convenience.
